    1. Assistance to Disabled Persons for Purchase/Fitting of Aids & Appliances (ADIP)

      Helps individuals with disabilities procure essential aids (e.g., wheelchairs, hearing aids, walking sticks) for their rehabilitation.

      Delivered mainly through ALIMCO (Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India), NGOs, and central institutes.

    2. Deendayal Disabled Rehabilitation Scheme (DDRS)

      An umbrella central sector scheme fostering voluntary action in disability rehabilitation since 2003.

      Offers grants-in-aid (up to 90%) to NGOs for services like vocational training centers, sheltered workshops, early intervention, legal literacy, and community rehabilitation.

    3. Scheme for Implementation of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act (SIPDA)

      Supports States and autonomous institutions in implementing the RPwD Act, 2016.

      Focuses on creating accessible infrastructure, barrier-free environments, accessible websites, and skill development of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs).

    4. National Action Plan (NAP) for Skill Development of PwDs

      Supports vocational training for PwDs aged 15–59, with funding aligned to Common Norms Guidelines.

      Integrated through the PM‑DAKSH–DEPwD portal, featuring modules like Divyangjan Kaushal Vikas and Divyangjan Rozgar Setu.

    5. Awareness Generation & Publicity Scheme

      Aims to build awareness about available government schemes for PwDs.

      Includes training of government and local body functionaries through workshops at state, district, and block levels.

    6. Financial Assistance for Skill Training of PwDs

      Grants provided to recognized training institutions offering skill development programs to PwDs (ages 15–59).

      Reservation of 30% seats for women trainees.

    7. Pradhan Mantri Dakshta Aur Kushalta Sampann Hitgrahi (PM‑DAKSH) Yojana

      A national action plan for skilling marginalized groups, including PwDs.

      Offers short-term (10–15 days) and long-term (5 months to 1 year) training programs, along with stipends and wage compensation.

    8. PM‑DAKSH–DEPwD Portal (E‑Initiatives)

      A digital platform enabling:

      • Divyangjan Kaushal Vikas: Skill training opportunities for PwDs.
      • Divyangjan Rozgar Setu: A geo-tagged job-matching platform linking PwDs with employers.

      Part of broader e‑initiatives including UDID, Sugamya Pustakalaya, ARJUN Portal, and accessibility tools like ISL Dictionary, Video Relay Service, etc.

    9. National Fund for Persons with Disabilities

      Established under the RPwD Act, 2016 and supported by Rules of 2017.

      Administered by DEPwD to fund areas not covered under existing schemes.
