Program Opening
The program commenced with Saraswati Vandana, followed by a warm welcome to dignitaries and participants.
Program Highlights
Speakers shed light on the issues faced by persons with disabilities (PwDs), their rights,
and the importance of digital and physical accessibility. Senior officials from CRC Jaipur
and MGUMST graced the event with their presence.

Inaugural Address: Dr. V. K. Kapoor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, MGUMST, highlighted the Government of India’s
recent efforts toward accessibility and inclusion, including:- Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan (Accessible India Campaign)
- “Yes to Access” mobile application
- Accessible conversion of books and educational resources
- Development of study material in Indian Sign Language

Occupational Therapy’s Role: Dr. Prakash Kumar, Principal, MG Occupational Therapy College, discussed the role of
occupational therapists in advancing global accessibility. -
CRC Jaipur Services & Inclusion: Mr. A. Jayachandra, Assistant Professor (Speech & Hearing), CRC Jaipur,
presented the range of services offered by CRC Jaipur and shared insights on accessibility, rights,
inclusion, and opportunities for PwDs.
Objective
The program aimed to raise awareness about inclusivity and accessibility in society and to encourage
collective commitment toward ensuring equal opportunities for all.
